Every Tokiyo T-shirt goes through a multi-stage production process designed to ensure the highest possible quality at each step. Here is what happens before your tee reaches your door.
Step 1: Design Concepting (Weeks 1-2)
Our in-house design team creates mood boards, explores cultural references, and produces initial sketches. Each design goes through 3-5 revision rounds before being approved for production.
Step 2: Fabric Sourcing (Week 3)
We source 240 GSM 100% super-combed cotton from audited suppliers. Every fabric batch undergoes a colour-fastness and shrinkage test before being accepted.
Step 3: Garment Construction (Weeks 3-4)
Pattern cutting, stitching, and finishing are done by experienced craftspeople. Each seam is double-stitched for durability. The drop-shoulder construction requires precision to achieve the correct proportions at every size.
Step 4: Print Production (Week 4)
Approved artwork files are processed for DTF printing. Films are printed, adhesive powder is applied and cured, then transferred to the garment under precise heat and pressure conditions. Each print is inspected before the garment moves to QC.
Step 5: Quality Control & Packaging (Week 5)
Every piece is individually inspected for print quality, seam integrity, and measurements. Approved pieces are folded and placed in our custom luxury packaging - the unboxing experience is part of the product.
